And that’s a wrap on the pre-school years. Since shortly after we moved to the village, the Pre-School has been at the centre of our little life. Walking this hedge-sided walk 2-3 times a week for 4yrs. To loosely quote Pamela Druckerman, remembering her own child’s lovely nursery years after she’d left “This was a place where he mattered”. Sonning Common Pre-school is an exceptional setting of love, caring and joy. Thru working sometimes tirelessly and sometimes lazily and absently on the wonderful parent Pre school committee I met lifelong friends and had SO much fun. The SC Pre-School years have made up a rich and precious era for me. That sloping plot, tucked behind the primary off Grove Rd will always have a little stake of my heartbeat. Thank you to all the staff, to Emma Lunnon especially, and Clare and Jo for putting up with me and to all the girls I worked with on the committee over the past 4 yrs. love to you all. @ Sonning Common Pre-School Playgroup
